Early Russian Symbology
I am reallly interested in historical contexts of language and communication. Especially ones that have been lost or abandoned through time. These symbols are early 12th and 13th century asian (russian). And the crest image still communicates something today. A key would be good though.

There is a great book of Heraldry that I saw at Borders recently. It went into great detail to discern between the various poses of horsemen, how the direction they faced and the items they carried all communicated so much. If I pick up the book, I'll bring it to class so we can decipher the example on your blog.
